The Sunday before Easter (tomorrow!) is is quite exciting for Finnish children.

⭐️ Kids will gather willow twigs and decorate them pretty with ribbons and feathers.

Then, on the Sunday before Easter, they dress up as a little witch, wizard or cat and go door to door asking for candy. 🍬

They wish their neighbors good health and happiness by chanting a rhyme and waving the willow twig , children give the twigs in exchange for candy or money. 😆

⭐️ The other tradition is going to buy Easter grass seeds (rairuoho) & planting them. When you do this a little bit before Easter, you’ll have a great patch of grass ready on Easter Day 🌱
