Paying Inheritance Tax on inherited property or assets

If you inherit property or assets from someone who has died, you may have to pay Inheritance Tax. But when does it have to be paid?

The good news is that you can pay your Inheritance Tax on things that may take time to sell, or that you decide to keep – such as a house - in equal annual instalments over 10 years.
