Sister Calls Cops To Save Brother's Life, Man Go Ballistic After Police Show up

Officers responded to a local apartment complex in reference to locating a suspect who violation warrants. and also had felony probation

The sister of the suspect called the police early in the morning on this date stating that she needed help for suspect because he was overd*sing on drugs. Morning watch officers located the subject but took no action (despite the warrants being known) because he didn't want help.

The suspect had three active and confirmed warrants for his arrest for felony probation violation. Officer responded to the area and used unmarked vehicles to get a location on him due to his drug-induced impairment and him talking to inanimate objects Det. Officer located him and pointed him out.

Officers told him to stop and called him by name. He started walking fast away from me. Officers told him that he was under arrest. When officers had contact with him he was on the sidewalk on the main road near the mailboxes. The suspect then fled on foot towards the center of the complex. He stumbled as he jumped over the retaining wall and fell to the ground. Officer jumped the wall as well and as he was trying to get up officer tackled him to the ground.

Officer mounted the suspect as he lay on his back and he controlled both of his wrists. Family members and members of the community surrounded the suspect and prevented the officer from immediately trying to place him in handcuffs. Other officers arrived to assist in this and they had to force his hands behind his back.

The suspect was transferred to the hospital.

Officers had to physically carry the suspect out of the area due to him not walking on his own accord. Officers were able to place him in the rear of my patrol car and we drove to the parking lot of the Hotel Indigo due to the belligerent family yelling and screaming

While at the hospital he resisted officers and security. His actions were a danger to himself and the medical staff.

While he was in police custody at the hospital, officers obtained one additional warrant for his arrest for Obstruction of a Law Enforcement Officer.
