Can I use OPAQUE WHITE Watercolour?

Can you use opaque white watercolour? DEFINITELY YES, but you need other colours, and some extra techniques too.

In this video I share how I painted the bright white patch of feathers on the front of this Scarlet Robin's head. It was certainly not simply about adding opaque white, there was quite a bit of prep work beforehand. Indeed, it's the preparation which will enable the light colour to show, and the depth of feathers to look lifelike and realistic.
