La chambre implantable percutanée est un dispositif composé d’un petit boîtier et d’un cathéter. Il est entièrement placé sous la peau par intervention chirurgicale. Le boîtier est placé au niveau du thorax et relié au cathéter, lui-même placé dans une veine. Elle reste installée durant toute la durée du traitement et permet de réaliser des prélèvements sanguins et d'administrer des traitements.
