In this video we check out the Sotetsu updated 8000 series trains. These trains were built in the 1990s and were originally equipped with a Hitachi GTO-VVVF traction system.

All sets have been either updated to a Hitachi IGBT-VVVF traction system or been scrapped.

For some reason the motors did not work when braking. Even though these have been updated they still sound really good.
