Double Mat Slab (Double-Layer Reinforced Slab)

Double Mat Slab:- A Double Mat Slab, also known as a double-layer reinforced slab, is a concrete slab used in construction with two layers of reinforcing steel bars (rebars) embedded within it.

The double mat slab typically consists of a bottom layer (called the bottom mat) and a top layer of rebars (called the top mat). The rebars are placed perpendicular to each other in a grid-like pattern to distribute the loads effectively and prevent cracking and structural failure.

The design, spacing, and diameter of the rebars in the double mat slab will depend on factors such as the intended load, the slab's span, and the project's engineering requirements.
