What does “better” mean? When tell our patients we are “better” at something, what benchmarks do they use to measure this? Do they believe us? What conclusions do they draw from us telling them we are better?

When you take a step back to analyze things, as I often do, you will realize that most of what makes us better is, in fact, because we are different. Think about the services we offer. For example, our Botox and Filler services. We are one of the top providers of this service in the entire country. We got here not by telling people we were better, but by doing things differently – magic lifts, using more filler than anyone else, etc.

The world of being “better” is a bloodbath. Everyone is trying to do that. But, different – that is our blue ocean. When we differentiate ourselves, our patients naturally take away that we offer services they cannot get anywhere else. People hear better all the time, but they know what different is. Different is better than better.

So, ask yourself this: Are you doing something that is different?
