Madge is a DIY pop artist in the music industry, and industry where only 2% of music producers are women. When men in the industry have emailed and misgendered her, saying things like "good work man" she says she replies in a similar manner by saying something such as "thanks bro." Madge says, "I think that's every male-dominated industry. There's this culture of shop talk and posturing and machismo."

Madge hopes to inspire other girls to follow their dreams, saying "I'm out here trying to put out my feelings and my thoughts and my experiences in a way that I know how to do and a way that I'm trying to figure out how to do, and if I can do it then anyone else can do it."
