The ukulele is a small, Hawaiian guitar-like instrument that is growing immensely in popularity around the United States and abroad. Learning the ‘uke’ — or any instrument, for that matter — can be extremely challenging. The great thing about the ukulele, however, is that many songs can be played with only knowledge of a few chords. In this video, we learn how to play the song “Someone to Lava” from the hit Pixar short film “Lava”. First, we will learn the F major chord, followed by the C major chord — two building-block chords. We then learn the G7 chord to complete our chord learning, and then we apply these chords and their transitions to the actual lyrics! So grab your uke and strum along; you’ll be well on your way by the end of the video!
