‪@AdelaideBeemanWhite‬ looks like a time traveler from the 1890s as she walks down a busy, four-lane road in the Cedar Mill area, just west of Portland.

When not in court, the Hillsboro associate attorney wears her waist-long red hair twisted into a tight bun on top of her head and her bangs are curled into pinky-sized ringlets.

She adorns her ensemble with various antique accessories, including leather gloves, a parasol and a chatelaine, a decorative metal belt that dangles with practical items like fingernail clippers, a notepad, pencil and coin purse.

“The speed of modern life has bothered me for as long as I can remember,” said Beeman-White, 27. “ I'm never doing the thing.  I'm always planning for the next thing.”
