Video shows our trip to Wollaton hall and Deer Park on 17th October 2023.
Wollaton Hall is a 16th century English renaissance style Mansion which houses Nottinghams Natural History Museum and is set in 500 acres of parkland.
we take a look around the Hall and look at the artifacts on display featuring birds, fish, natural history and Africa. There is also a display of Titus a Tyrannosaurus Rex discovered in Montana USA in 2014.
There is a fabulous exhibition of 'Miniature masterpeices' by Dr Willard Wigan. This features tiny sculptures that fit inside the eye of a needle. we were unable to film this exhibition but details can be found by following this link:-

Entry to the hall and Parkland is free including the miniature masterpeices exhibition. there is a charge for parking £5 per day.
In the courtyard there is a Industrial museum which is open on selected days so worth checking before you visit if you wish to visit this.
There are also a choice of cafe and Shops in the Courtyard.
The parkland has a number of routes including a lake. There is a Formal Garden and Walled Garden, however these were not open during our visit.
In the formal garden is a iron-clad glasshouse which is the oldest in Europe dating from 1827.
The Hall featured in the 2012 Batman movie 'The dark knight'.
There are a number of tours that provide more in depth views around the Hall and Gardens, it is worth checking the website for details of these.
