Think about the person you were right before the whole world shut down in 2020. Now think about who you are now. You're still mostly the same lovable person you were back then, but at lot has changed. People have come in and out of your life, you've learned more about yourself, you have new favorite songs that you listen to, you're smarter and wiser, and you've grown. You are not the same person you once were.

Now think about someone in the present trying to hurt you and using your younger self from all the way back then against you. Younger you wouldn't stand a chance against this person today. They don't know the things you know now. They're not as strong as you are now. They haven't been through all the ups and downs that you have been through the last 4 years. You owe your younger self nothing but love. They don't deserve the judgement and hate from others, especially from those so far in the future from where younger you is in life now.

Think about who you were way back when, who you are now, and who you'll be four more years from now. Future you might cringe a little at your present self, but they'll be so far ahead that present you will just seem like a distant memory. Always be kind to yourself, and be kind to others.
