The Sherborne Christmas Carol With 44871 - 6th December 2022

Tuesday 6th December 2022 saw 44871 haul RTC's The Sherborne Christmas Carol from London Victoria to Sherborne via Salisbury & the south western mainline. This was 44871's final trip in the south before it headed back north two days later.

The footage commences at Salisbury and runs until we arrive at our servicing point at Yeovil Junction & Yeovil Steam Centre.

After the sound issues of the Eastbourne trip, this was the first use of my new microphone which has improved the sound but I still think I need to make a box for it to sit in when the engine is travelling at speed so it can hopefully reduce the wind noise.

Many thanks to the support crew involved with the trip, it was, as always a tiring but great couple of days.

A huge thank you to all the guys at Yeovil Steam Centre who as always, made us feel most welcome & allowed us to service the loco without any fuss & clear up after us.
