AH-64 Apache Gunship - Aerial Gunnery Training

Описание к видео AH-64 Apache Gunship - Aerial Gunnery Training

B-roll footage of U.S. Army AH-64 Apache crews while maintaining, preparing for, and conduction an aerial gunnery qualification.

The aircrews fired both 30mm rounds and 2.75-inch rockets downrange. The crews conducted individual as well as advanced tables where two helicopters cooperate.

The M230E1 is a 30mm chain-driven autocannon mounted on an AH-64 Apache helicopter that has a rate of fire of 600 to 650 rounds per minute with a maximum effective range of approximately 1,500 to 1,700 meters against area targets.

The Apache's 2.75-inch aerial rocket system can carry up to four 19-shot launcher pods on four wing store pylons, for a total of 76 rockets.

U.S. Army aviators and aircrews must qualify every year engaging simulated targets with live rounds. The qualification exercise is part of an overall training progression in order to maintain readiness and proficiency.
