The music of Michel Legrand is something that Lisa Batiashvili remembers listening to since she was a child. “Paris Violon” reflects the fact that her husband is French and has lived most of his life in Paris. Lisa’s own personal history is even woven into the arrangement, as conductor and arranger Nikoloz Rachveli reveals: “Lisa’s husband is a great oboe player, and that’s why there are two or three moments when the violin and oboe have a duet.”
