It wasn’t until I was much older and pursuing a psychology degree that I realized there was power in speaking to the painful parts of our lives.”

Dr. Jenny Wang is a Taiwanese American clinical psychologist, speaker, and mental health activist who works from a social justice and trauma-informed framework. She founded the @asiansformentalhealth community on Instagram and is passionate about destigmatizing mental health for Asians. Her clinical and professional interests focus on Asian American identity, mental health advocacy, and racial trauma. She created the Asians for Mental Health directory to help Asian Americans find culturally respectful mental health care. Her book, Permission to Come Home: Reclaiming Mental Health as Asian Americans, is now available.
