Kibune is famous for KAWADOKO, an Incredible Floating River Restaurant, which is well-known summer tradition of Kyoto.

These are small tatami rooms above the Kibune River in which we can enjoy a delicious meal while taking in the cool, summer breeze.

For lunch, we were served a kaiseki course meal made with river fish, summer ingredients, and local ingredients.

There is also a famous shrine in Kifune, so after the meal we took a stroll around the town.

I took the new Hankyu Railway express train called Privace to Kyoto.
