This webinar, held on 19 January at 7 a.m. EST, focused on the headline indicators of the monitoring framework for the draft #post2020 global biodiversity framework, in the context of marine and coastal areas. It explored and reviewed specific marine and coastal biodiversity aspects of the indicators and the monitoring framework and discussed other relevant existing reporting and assessment processes that could be used to respond to the indicators in marine and coastal areas and contribute to the implementation of the post-2020 framework.

The webinar is part of a series being presented ahead of the resumed sessions of SBSTTA-24, SBI-3 and WG2020-3, to be held from 13-29 March 2022 in Geneva.
