DLSU Lady Spiker Desiree Cheng received her most special MVP award to date after she helped her team won back to back championships. The Lady Spikers swept the Finals series against the Ateneo Eagles. Des Cheng contributed 12 points, 12 digs, and 13 excellent receptions and rightfully earned the Finals MVP honors after that Game 2 win. Her triple-double performance proved how she has improved her game and become a reliable well-rounded player for the 10th-time Champions under Coach Ramil's brilliant mind.

She is an inspiration. After suffering a torn ACL and missing LS' Season 78 Championship, Des started Season 79 with a disappointing performance. But she stepped up big time at the start of the second round. She never looked back since then. This is her first Championship. The Finals MVP award is only an icing on the cake of such an amazing journey for Des. She deserves it.
