and Welcome to a Sweet Lime Cookies Special Episode of ‪@RedSoilStories‬
It was a fine morning, Pooja had gone to a neighboring farm to harvest some fresh sweet limes. Few limes were ripened and she collected those for the recipes.
After returning home, she started preparing for the syrup and candied sweet lime peel.
The sweet lime syrup / cordial was prepared using sweet lime juice and peel. The peel was taken and cut into small pieces, then the sweet lime juice and sugar was added.
The candied peel is then dried and put in the jar. Also the sweet lime syrup / cordial was collected was stored in the glass bottle and then kept in the refrigerator.
We had a fast on that day so Pooja prepared fruit salad in the afternoon, it turned out delicious.
Next day in the afternoon Pooja started preparing for the Sweet lime cookies, she used all purpose flour, some sugar, sweet lime cordial / syrup and prepared a dough. She the cut the cookies from the dough added some candied peels over it and baked the cookies on the fire stove.
I prepared a sweet lime green tea using the sweet lime cordial and ginger, lemon, mint leaves etc and then we enjoyed the cookies and the green tea as an evening snack.
It was delicious.
