The Doll's Head Trail is located in Constitution Lakes Park in Atlanta, Georgia. The lakes were created by a nineteenth century brick company, the South River Brick Company, which dug out the red clay for making the bricks. The company was sold in 1915 and fell into ruin. The excavation pits filled with water creating what is now Constitution Lakes. Dekalb County purchased the land in 2003 and turned it into a park.

Joel Slaton, a local carpenter, had the idea of using items from trash that had been dumped there to create an art project along the trail and thereby cleaning up the park. Visitors may add to the art with items found in the park which helps keep it clean. Things that can be found along the trail are of course the trail's namesake, doll heads, along with children's toys, tires, parts from the old brick works, and many other things. There are messages written on various things throughout, some humorous and others thought provoking.

In addition to the unique trail, the park is a nature preserve that is rich in flora and wildlife. The tallest documented Willow Oak tree inside I-285 is located here.

This park is well worth the visit! If you do, use the address of 1305 South River Industrial Boulevard SE, Atlanta, Georgia. Using a destination of Doll's Head Trail will take you down a dead end street in a small neighborhood. Please note the park closes at dusk.
