San Francisco Carnaval (2024)

Rueda Con Ritmo's theme for San Francisco's 2024 parade was "Que Viva Changó," in honor of the Oricha originally from Nigeria and now widely honored in Cuba and throughout the world. Our three choreographies include many different Cuban dances: Baile Campesino (country dances), Baile Folclórico (Afro-Cuban dances for Changó), Rumba Guaguancó, Salsa-Casino, and Conga.

RCR won first place in the Caribbean category for the parade this year. Congratulations and thanks to all of the dancers and volunteers who paraded with us!

Special thanks to Adan Perez for the great video footage and to Cristina and Yerba Buena Gardens Festival for hosting most of our rehearsals again this year.
