In this video, I'll show you how to check the hard disk health. In other words, to know how much life is left out of your hard disk so that you'll have enough time to backup your crucial data before your hard disk gets damage. In some countries they call a hard dish, a hard drive - what do you call in your country? Please also let me know which of the methods shown in this video suits you the most. I'm using power shell instead of the command prompt but both do the same thing.

There are various ways that you could check the health of your hard disk. First, I'll show you the simplest method by using windows explorer. Let's get started!

Now, I'll show you 2 different ways of checking hard disk's health by using power shell.

And lastly, you could do a comprehensive check by using the tools provided by your hard disk company. First, we need to learn the company name and the model.

So, I'm using Seagate tools to check the hard disk health, however, you should try to use your own hard disk's company.
