Day 2 of KFNW Event 3 at Dworshak Reservoir.
A few hours into the tournament, I finally found the spot holding quality smallmouth — and they were eating the 3/8 oz tube head like crazy. But I only had a couple left… and when I lost my last tubes near the end of the day, the bite disappeared with them. This could’ve been the winning pattern — if I had found it sooner, or come more prepared.

Fishing from my Old Town Sportsman 106 PDL with my Humminbird HELIX 7, I gave it everything I had. I ended up finishing 25th — not the result I hoped for, but I learned a lot that I’ll take into the next event.
