This is part 2 of how to fight rigidity if you have Parkinson’s disease. It’s time we will be stretching your trunk and legs.
Rigidity is common when you have Parkinson’s disease. In fact it is one of the three cardinal signs of Parkinson’s disease. They are tremors, bradykinesia, and rigidity. It is important that we manage rigidity and this can be done by stretching. It is important to stretch our trunk or torso and legs, otherwise we will be moving stiffly or worse even lose balance.

The home exercises included in this video are:

1. Trunk twisting
2. Trunk extension
3. Trunk flexion
4. Hamstring stretch
5. Hip flexor and calf stretch
6. Front kicks
