Nichols Canyon
Los Angeles
Episode 58

Nichols Canyon is a residential area in the Hollywood Hills in Los Angeles, bounded by Hollywood Boulevard on the south and Mulholland Drive on the north, lying between Laurel Canyon and Runyon Canyon. It was also known as Miller Canyon.

Nichols Canyon was also the name and subject of a David Hockney painting which was a depiction of the artists daily route to work when he lived in the Hollywood Hills and had a studio located in a former warehouse on Santa Monica Blvd.

This trip starts south on Laurel Canyon Blvd and quickly turns east along Hollywood Blvd with another turn north at Genesee Street which becomes Nichols Canyon Road. At the end of Nichols Canyon Road we head west on Mulholland Drive and then south on Laurel Canyon Blvd to complete the circle (with a turn west on Sunset Blvd to head home).
