The Most Important Concept in Biology (Chapter 1)

Описание к видео The Most Important Concept in Biology (Chapter 1)

Essence of biology, chapter 1
We cover the Central Dogma of Molecular Biology, DNA to RNA to Protein, and its importance in biology, biochemistry, and genetics. We look into the enzymatic processes that comprise Gene Expression and Protein Synthesis, including DNA Replication, Transcription, and Translation. Included is a brief introduction to mutations, gene regulation, genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics. The next chapter will explore DNA structure, including the double helix model, X-ray crystallography, and Fourier Transform. “Essence of” titles are inspired by Grant Sanderson (3Blue1Brown).
