Pigtown Fling ~ Gourd Banjo

Some late night picking ;)

I decided to put a 3/4" bridge on my gourd banjo, mainly due to the weather and that since the neck has a sharp angle, there were days when the strings would barely clear the edge of the gourd. So far, the new bridge keeps the strings about a 1/4" above the edge when it's rainy. I'd considered not putting a taller bridge on as I feared it would cause more sag due to the extra pressure, but this bridge's feet are wider than the previous bridge, so it seems to be ok. Since it's been snowing and dry out, the head has been tight for a couple weeks, so I'm getting a lot of volume out of it. So I figured I would get a video of it and record a tune I don't think I've recorded before...
