The restoration of "Meer Manjil" by the architecture firm Indigenous, a modest 1960s urban house in Mohammadpur, balances contemporary comfort with the preservation of architectural style, materials, and the cultural memory of ordinary urban life. The project enhances space quality while respecting the original design, addressing privacy issues, and integrating modern utilities. The restoration honors the sentimental value and personal heritage of the client, Md. Mahbub Ur Rahman, against the backdrop of a rapidly modernizing environment.
