This English hymn, is one of the more popular English adaptations of Syriac hymn, 'Abo Dqooshto.' This version uses the St Jacob (James) minor melody 'bo'ooto dmor ya'qoob.' This is the full version of the hymn. Typically, only part or a verse of the hymn is sung during the fractioning/elevation of the Host in the Mass. Beyond elevation, this hymn can also be sung during Communion, Adoration and possible a segment of it for thanksgiving.

Lyrics:

1. O Father of Truth, now behold, Christ your Son, who has died as a pure sacrifice; grant me pardon. Accept Him who offered Himself; be at peace with me, Lord and forgive all my sins and offenses.

2. Behold His pure blood that was shed. As it calls out to You, hear it pleading for me and have mercy. O Lord God, Your mercy exceeds the great debt of my sins; on a scale it would weigh more than mountains.

3. O Lord God, consider my sins and Your Son’s sacrifice. What was offered for me is far greater. Your Son suffered death on the cross for my sins and my faults, yet His death brought me life and salvation.

4. All praise to the Father above, who has sent us His son. Let the Son be adored, who has suffered. Give thanks to the Spirit, who comes and completes this whole plan of salvation and life. Give God glory!
