This is a day tour of the old town of Marburg, Germany. The town is home to Philipps University ,founded in 1527. The Grimm Fairy Tales, were brothers Jacob and Wilhelm studied Law and stayed in Marburg where they collected or gathered stories and published the first edition on 1812. The Altstadt includes half-timbered houses and Medieval pavement. On top is the Landgrafenschloss , a castle with exhibits on sacred arts and history of the Region. The Marktplatz square with its narrow streets line in Bars and Restaurants. The 13th -century, Gothic-style St. Elizabeth Church holds the shrine of the saint‘s remains.
