Living St. Louis producer Anne-Marie Berger visits Lafayette Square, one of St. Louis' oldest neighborhoods that sits just south of downtown. This community surrounds Lafayette Park—the oldest park west of the Mississippi. It was the richest neighborhood in St. Louis during the mid 1800s, but after a destructive tornado, many residents left, and the area fell into urban decay. Now, current residents have joined together to beautify the park once again and rehab the area's historic homes.
