John "Four Leaf" Tayback a vietnam war hero is the inspiration of a big budget action war movie, called Tropic Thunder, Lazarus, Chino,sandusky and Portnoy, fallow tug speedman, an action hero into and intense battle as caracter four leaf. Damien Cockburn is the on set director as he looses his temper because speedman can't cry in his scene the explosives effects man detinates the charges for a very expensive explosion while the cameras weren't even rolling!!!!!
Later that night Four Leaf explains to the director Damien that he needs to shoot the movie gritty and take his panzy actors out into the jungle and him and Cody can light them up with explosives for realistic footage and Damien agrees.
The next day the guys are flown out to a remote spot in the jungle where they have a pep talk and have their cell phones confiscated and Damien steps on a land mine and is blown up and a drug ring come after them all the while the actors believe it's special effects and part of the movie except for the African American linciln ocyrus played by the famous Australian actor kirk Lazarus he doesn't buy that it's actually scenes for the movie.
They are then attacked by the drug cartel realizing how real it feels the guys question if it's actually a movie at all but Four Leaf played by tug speedman is still convinced its a scene for the movie they argue and take the map from him so they decide to go their separate ways.
Speed man endures a night alone in the jungle and fights off and kills a panda bear and is captured by the cartel.
While being enterigated the other guys discover the cartel camp and see speedman being tortured and devise a plan to rescue him, Cody and thr real four leaf which were captured earlier it turns out that four leaf had made the whole story up about being a war hero and while having no hands turns out he's faking that as well.
The men succeed with the rescue mission and they all survive and go on to finish making the movie.... the best war movie based on a lie but survived a real war ever made and and becomes a box office hit.
