താമരശേരി ചുരം വഴി വയനാട്ടിലേയ്ക്ക് | Kodagu Trip| EP- 02| Jelaja Ratheesh| Puthettu Travel Vlog|

Thamarashery Churam is the road that connects Kozhikode to Wayanad. It is part of NH 766. There are 9 hairpin bends in this Churam ( Ghat). This was the path which Tippu Sultan and his Soldiers used, later Britishers developed this road. Karithandan, a tribal man was the person who showed this road to the Britishers. After seeing the path they killed Karithandan to get the road known in their names. There is a Tree called Changala maram in Lakkidi, Wayanad which consists of chains and is believed that it has the soul of Karithandan.
