The United States finished its tactical mission in Afghanistan daily before purposeful cutoff time of August 31.

Significant General Chris Donahue has been distinguished by the United States Department of Defense as the last serving individual from the US military to leave Afghanistan, finishing America's 20-year military presence in that country. "The last American officer to leave Afghanistan: Maj. Gen. Chris Donahue sheets a C-17 of the US Air Force on August 30th 2021, finishing the US mission in Kabul," the Department of Defense said in a tweet.

Significant General Donahue is the chief of the 82nd Airborne Division which goes under the Fort Bragg, North Carolina-based eighteenth Airborne Corps of the US Army. As indicated by a report in USA Today, the official was sent for this present month to assist with getting the Kabul air terminal as America's purposeful August 31 cutoff time to pull out the entirety of its soldiers from Afghanistan approached. He moved on from the United States Military Academy in 1992 and was authorized as a subsequent lieutenant.

The report further notes that Donahue has been conveyed multiple times to manage tasks in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, northern Africa and eastern Europe. His profession remembers a spell for the Pentagon, where he filled in as an uncommon right hand to director of the Joints Chief of Staffs.

The now popular picture shared by the Pentagon was taken similarly as the official was preparing to board the withdrawing C-17 airplanes.

American soldiers had arrived on the Afghan soil in 2001 in the wake of the 9/11 assaults. They crushed the Taliban, five years after the system originally held onto power in the country. The gathering's most recent development towards Kabul, and inevitable triumph, came in the midst of the withdrawal of US warriors as coordinated by president Joe Biden in April this year.
