Overview of Dartmouth Radiation Oncology Residency Program

The program has a one-resident cohort per year and includes 10 attendings who provide ample one-on-one time with residents throughout their four-year training.

The PGY-4 year is an academic enrichment year tailored to the resident's specific interests, offering opportunities such as earning an advanced degree or conducting research. The PGY-5 year revisits core disease sites, and residents spend the majority of their time at the Lebanon campus, which features three Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators and two wide-bore CT simulators. The program also has a dedicated brachytherapy suite for DR treatments and minor procedures.

The program is situated in the upper Connecticut River Valley, offering the culture of a larger city while maintaining a small town feel. The area provides opportunities for outdoor activities year-round, including hiking, kayaking, and snow sports. The program is two hours northwest of Boston, three hours southeast of Montreal, and five hours north of New York City.
