At nearly 50 years old, she crossed the Atlantic to evangelize in the American frontier—where poverty, sickness, harsh winters, language barriers, and cultural challenges awaited her.
Her heroic charity toward the sick, prisoners, settlers, children, and Native Americans earned her the nickname “The Woman Who Prays Always.”
