“He was the most awesome father I can ever ask for,” said Tom Erndt from his new home in South San Francisco. “I miss him every day.”

Tom was just 10 years old when he lost his father on Lake Mead. It was a boating trip where everything that could go wrong did go wrong.

His father, Thomas Erndt, whom Tom shares a name with, always loved boats. He’d take friends and family out onto the water almost every weekend.
