Interstitial - Dark ambient synth jam #25

Daw-less hardware synth jam with mostly analog (or analog emulated) synth gear recoded live. Each jam I use different combinations of gear to compose and improvise a song in a single evening, sometimes with the help of my cat Edgar.

In this jam in I'm using vintage gear I got from second hand stores. The long keyboard synth is a Univox Compac-piano form 1973. It has three oscillator voices and full polyphony but nothing else. I understand why it was collecting dust, as it's too simplistic for modern needs. With some effects pedals and imagination, I think it can make some pretty nice sounds. I recorded the sounds on a 4 track tape player (1986 best guess) which I "played" for this jam. It needed some repair work when I found it, and because of the "voices" it picks up during recording, it probably still needs some work.
