INSUB.POLYTOPIES

The Insub collective explores for a second year the territory of the Geneva countryside, in the municipality of Laconnex, articulating an experimental activity around a piece of land and its surrounding (paths, forests, etc.), questioning the relationship we have with the soil and its work, the ecological and sound environments, and the potential meeting points of the musical and agrarian, urban and natural respective spheres of activity.
Inspired by the way fields work, at various periods already, has generated music that evokes or structures it, this polyphonic utopia formulates the poetic hypothesis of a reverse exploration, starting from music as canvas and as a tool.
Throughout the year, from winter 2022 to October 2023, nine musicians (Anouck Genthon, Anna-Kaisa Meklin, Antoine Läng, Christophe Berthet, Cyril Bondi, d'incise, Raphaël Ortis, Rodolphe Loubatière & Violeta Motta), will deploy a series of experiences and performances and will welcome three other Swiss collectives (Gamut, Bruit & Babel).
