PLAYER HANDET ISSUE WITH HDMI:
After applying the IOS18 update to my player handset iPhone (Sir Testalot) this weekend, it's no longer able to send an HDMI signal to my YoloBox Ultra. No amount of rebooting of the iPhone, or reloading of the app made any difference, and I'm not able to roll the update back. The HDMI converter I've been using is an inexpensive one I bought off Amazon and it had worked flawlessly up until now, so this weekend I purchased two new HDMI converters (1xUSB-C and 1xLightning versions) from the Apple Store which should arrive tomorrow so I can try them out tomorrow night, and hopefully the problem will be resolved. I'll give you more info in the feedback section of tomorrow nights quiz at the Granta in Cambridge.

EXPLORING A NEW QUIZ HOSTING CONSOLE DESIGN:
As mentioned in the footnotes of my previous post about the setup/breakdown times having too much complexity, and causing me unnecessary stress: On Friday I took a trip to see a local company (5 Star Cases) who makes flight cases, serving many industry sectors including Entertainment, Medical, Telecommunications, Military, Robotics & Motorsport, just to name a few. I set up my equipment I use to run my quizzes in their meeting room and we began to look into designing two new flight cases that will hold all of my quizzing, live streaming, and production equipment. The idea is to have everything all pre-configured and setup inside two robust desktop consoles that I can place side by side on my table, with a cable loom between them connecting all of the components I use for hosting, and live-streaming my quizzes. This will save me hours of time every week that I'm currently spending on setting up, configuring, and breaking down everything at each venue. This will also help me to avoid many of the errors that have been creeping into my performance as I will have a much more stable and reliable platform to work with. As our ideas progress over the coming weeks I'll share them with you here in future post here.
