Epic Kayak Camping Trip on the French Broad

Tahkeeosteh is a Cherokee name for part of the French Broad. It translates into "where they race." Tahkeeosteh was the most transformative and substantive portion of our French Broad through paddle in 2018. It carries the brunt of the high adventure and majestic views. We have always talked of returning. Six years later, we are returning to Tahkeeosteh. Running the most adventurous portions of the French Broad, we will paddle sections 6 through 11. Section 9 is the marquee section of whitewater boasting miles of classic southeastern river running. Running this section with the crew in a loaded touring boat earns you entrance into the elusive Club 9. There is no other way to enter the club. It has been six years since we have attempted this and there are 6 new paddlers that want to run the gauntlet and measure themselves - six paddlers that want to join the brotherhood. Join us as we continue our quest for Club 9. Starting the morning on majestic section 8, we soon run the gauntlet of Section 9. Things get interesting...
