Описание к видео # 10 Clean Slate Book tag

Clean Slate Book tag

Here is the link to Catalyst Reads 'Clean Slate Booktag' (and a un-babbled version of the questions). He's come up with some thoughtful videos, do check them out. An especial favourite of mine is his 'Why I don't edit my video' video! But again, here is his original tag video:

My answers from my notes and or fingers now. Sometimes different from my video that I've already recorded and forgot what I so passionately professed.

TAG Questions:
1). Are there any genres that you're going to read more of or less of in 2018?

Maybe non-fiction, going by VERY recent trends in my reading. Oh, and the evil influence pushing away the made-up stories is Steve Donoghue

2). Are there any books you have recently read that changed or challenged some of your own philosophies and beliefs?

The Underground Railroad by COLSON WHITEHEAD - urggh, if it ain't written down I don't remember.

3). Who would you recommend for a ''newbie'' to watch?

As I said, everyone that calls to you. I'll probably do a my favourite booktuber video, as blinkered and as limited as it might be in the future. For right now I watch:

Steve Donoghue - for his general unedited awesomeness

insert literary pun here - for her insight and passion and intelligence in all things literary

memento mori - he's so cool!

mercy's bookish musings - always intelligent and sometimes raw, which I appreciate

rincy reads - just great

savage reads - my entry point into booktube and a great bookish companion

the poptimist - a pro, who edits and puts in all sorts of visual stuff into his essays which is quite unlike a lot of other booktubers, so I appreciate it

Also a bunch of more regular folk like myself, but lets just leave it at Catalyst Reads for today.

4). Do you have a reading book bucket list?

Nope. But yeah. Ulysses & The Brothers Karamazov are two I might get to this year if so inspired. Also Blood Meridian, which is a book that I've bounced off completely, but might try again.

So many books to read. Whatever I feel like at the time, but sometimes having a 'mountain' book, one that you feel you are going to have to scale and challenge yourself can be very invigorating if you have the energy and the time. Almost always rewarding when I take that challenge though. Just not always in that head space - which is also fine.

5). What is it about BookTube that has surprised you the most?

See the video.

6). What are some of your goals? (Doesn't have to be just related to BookTube).

See the video.

7). If you could meet (dead or alive) any writer, artist, or musician who would they be?

Yes, didn't get on with this question, but I suppose I revealed something about myself with how I did react with horror at the thought of meeting and having to interact with other people and how that brought out my own feelings of inadequacy. How tedious.

8). Would you rather have your life written by your favorite author or be portrayed in a movie by your favorite actor/actress?

Ga. This question is an ego feeder question - for me. And I can be so ego driven. Sometimes I worry that is what all my attempts at art and expression are - just me going - look at me! NO! Don't look at me. I suppose I should either get over it or just find an interesting way to look at it.

9). What are some of the challenges you have had to overcome or would still like to improve upon in regards to your channel?

See the video.

10). What advice would you give to someone that is thinking about deleting their BookTube channel?

I actually liked how I answered this as advice to my future self. That is the way to do this sort of thing.

11). Who do you tag?

No one!

And you might, if you read all of this and watched the video. Wonder why I cut off so suddenly. HEY! THIS GUY EDITED WHEN HE SAID HE DIDN'T EDIT HIS VIDEO! No, persistent/obsessive viewer/reader, it's cause my phone ran out of memory. Thank god it did it there!!! Yet another challenge to myself, delete my videos off my phone as soon as they are uploaded to youtube.

Thank you for reading this or having completely missed it, cause what kind of maniac puts long rambles in their description field?
