In this video, Jeremy Johnson from Big J’s RV Reviews takes us inside a massive used Forest River Rockwood fifth wheel trailer at Jay’s RV in Santee. This impressive trailer stretches about 39 feet long and features four slide-outs that create plenty of living space for large families or groups.

Jeremy walks around the exterior, highlighting the spacious storage in the nose of the trailer and explaining that while it has a tandem axle setup, it’s not designed as a toy hauler. This trailer is more about comfortable living and camping with lots of room to spread out.

Inside, you’ll find a large booth seating area perfect for meals and gatherings, along with a big pantry and ample kitchen counter space. The kitchen includes a range, microwave, and a cozy fireplace to add some ambiance. The trailer has great headroom throughout, enhancing the roomy feel.

Sleeping arrangements are ideal for families, with a dedicated kids’ bedroom that has its own slide-out and door, plus a loft area that can sleep two additional guests or kids. The master bedroom offers plenty of storage and has private access to a large bathroom, which is also accessible from the hallway. Privacy is easy with a door that closes off the bedroom area.

Cooling such a large space can be tricky, and Jeremy points out the presence of a second AC unit to help keep things comfortable. Without air conditioning, it can get quite warm inside.

At the end, Jeremy shares his honest review and scores the Forest River Rockwood on his personal scale. While the trailer’s sleeping capacity—up to eight people—is impressive, the trailer’s large size and the need for a big tow vehicle are potential drawbacks. Since it’s a trailer, not a motorhome, drivability isn’t scored, but overall, it earns a 51 out of 100 in his assessment.
