The Hong Kong government has announced its toughest measures yet to fight the city’s third wave of Covid-19 infections. Officials ordered all dine-in services at the city's restaurants to be suspended as of July 29, 2020. Two weeks earlier, eateries were told to stop serving meals in dining rooms between 6pm and 5am, and could only offer takeaway items. Some restaurant workers say business has already been hit hard by the restrictions, and the catering industry is calling for another round of government subsidies.
