This is a demonstration of the Powered Fish Tape from Milwaukee. The video shows the tool pushing the tape into the conduit and then pulling the wire back. Our conduit run was about 100 feet long with four 90 degree bends. The wire was three #8awg, one #12awg, and two #14awg. The tool had no problem pushing or pulling. The only issue was that it was hard to tell when the head was getting close and because of that there was risk of running the fish tape head too far and getting it stuck inside the unit which would require a whole new fish tape cartridge. To solve this issue, we talked about putting orange paint on the tape near the end to let the operator know that the end is near. We did a time study against blowing a string and using a Southwire drill puller which is pretty typical for our smaller pulls. The Milwaukee fish-tape won by roughly half the amount of time. One thing we liked as well was the simplicity of only needing one tool as opposed to string, a blower, and a puller. This would be a good tool for things like motor or control drops.
