Tomography aims to reveal the internal structure of a patient based on X-ray images taken from different directions. The resulting slice image is formed with a mathematical algorithm.

I am a professional mathematician studying inverse problems of medical imaging. In this video I explain how the tomographic image is calculated. The explanation is visual and aimed at a general audience.
