Semi CR 2 spoilers ahead:
I believe started this animatic around the release of episode 48, Homeward Bound, and became even more interested after some of his backstory was revealed in the next episodes. I worked on it on and off and unfortunately, for whatever reason, when I did finish it, I didn’t end up posting it.

Since then, campaign 2 has ended and we’ve learned so much more about Caleb’s past and what his future may hold. I mention this bc I think at the time we didn’t even know what Astrid or Eadwulf looked like. Nor did we know what Caleb was really doing at the Soltryce Academy under Master Icky-thong’s supervision.

Anyways, this animatic is sort of a snapshot into my brain before future big reveals in the show. My feelings on Caleb as a character have changed a lot since I first started this animatic but I still find his story really interesting and he still holds a soft spot in my heart. I welcome others to be a little nostalgic with me abt our murder hobo wizard and how much he’s grown!

Slightly longer update note:
I’m back! Or I’m trying to come back lol.
It's been a long time but I’m finally in a place in my life where I can actually work on this hobby again. Besides trying to find time to finish projects (and a literal pandemic), I was really unconfident in the work I was posting. I’m generally a slow artist, and I was not making my life any easier by having a drawing process that was very tedious. Or being a perfectionist loll.

Looking back now with fresh eyes, I'm extremely proud of my older work and I have a much healthier relationship with my art and myself.

Moving forward, I hope to post some speedpaints for older pieces that have been sitting in my computer and collecting dust. I also hope to brush off the cobwebs of half-finished (mostly cr) animatics and either finish them or at least post them as wips Idk. I don’t really have a schedule for the future so if you want to see my work more frequently, I would check and follow my socials!
