“Fission” is the fourth mission in Call of Duty®: Advanced Warfare.

At the Vekron Pacific Reactor in Seattle, Washington, Atlas forces were deployed to stop the KVA terrorist organization from triggering a meltdown at the nuclear power plant. Tasked with shutting down the reactor from the control room, Mitchell, along with Gideon and Joker, faced a powerful defense force of the KVA as soon as they arrived. After pushing through heavy resistance, the team reached the control room, but the nuclear reactor was already at a critical level, suffering from a destructive meltdown.

As both Atlas and KVA soldiers evacuated the site, one of the cooling towers exploded and collapsed, causing deaths, chaos, and destruction at the power plant. Mitchell and his team were evacuated safely, but Atlas suffered tremendous losses.
